This chair is part of a series of 9 unique furniture pieces inspired by the legacy of architect Julio Vilamajó Echaniz. For this piece the designer was inspired by Vilamajó’s use of local materials. As a result, the structure of the chair is made from Peterebi wood, dyed and braided Tutura -Uruguayan native leaf- is used for the back rest and hand-woven wool knitted by local weavers is used for the seat cover. Overall the chair is a perfect mix of bold form, artisanal technique and social enterprise.
