For this series of vessels, the template of the traditional vase form is deconstructed, falling apart or fusing with forms that are growing into it, around it and through it. Influenced by the everyday details from an aging urban landscape; a tree growing through a fence or a rusting garden gate, the forms have a contrasting dynamic relationship between the decorative and what might be thought of as ‘ugly’ or ‘raw’. The result is a collection of unique striking pieces.
