This artwork features an antique Afghan carpet. The artist uses the carpet as an inspiration and a starting point. This piece is purposely left “unfinished”, the patchwork carpet pieces resemble a cross shape, recognized as a Christian symbol, for the artist it has a different meaning: the vertical lines represent the yang and the horizontal ones the yin, as well as alluding to a feminine figure.
